POV stories

What is your favourite POV ? First person or third person ? I am sorry for all the good writers who use first person, but I really hate this POV. It seems the author is jerking off himself while writing the story...

I'm a big fan of third-person omniscient. I find that it's nice to know what the characters are thinking/feeling but without the constraints of the first person pov.

Third person, definitely. Whether single character or multi-character. If it is first person, preferably the girl POV, if it's the guy I usually immediately click away, it has to be written very, very well to not come across weird and creepy.

Interesting question. I know exactly what you're talking about- how with some stories, the writing seems overly sexualized, focusing on women's ass/legs/boobs with way too many adjectives, etc. For fictional stories, I tend to prefer third person- sometimes third person omniscient, although that can also run into the aforementioned issue.

That said, though? I prefer reading true stories most of all, and those are almost always in first person- for obvious reasons.
