Regarding user-generated content and KITG

In the past number of weeks the energy and aura of this site has been altered dramatically. Some of it has to do with the aggressive stance that Mallory and I are taking. Some of it has to do with the filter being off and people openly saying what they feel. What we are seeing here now is exactly what we have been protecting this site from since the beginning. Hostility, bad vibes, chaos and an unhealthy environment. People have a right to vent and express disappointment but they should be doing so constructively and respectfully. 

There is no massive delete all button that we can access there are 1,711 videos, 2,693 photos, 318 blog posts and hundreds of forum posts. So even if we could just delete everything how does that benefit the community exactly? It would seem to me that people would want to preserve and be proud of the accomplishment of our bringing people together on this site to form the most civil and socially beautiful community in BB/CB history. Instead all I hear are people wanting to tear us down. You can all vent your anger now but years from now all you complainers will be sorry you wished all this content away. History will repeat its-self with all the lost but not forgotten BB sites of yore. 

Some people feel that the KITG admins are being shady and that we have no right to host the free user-generated content behind closed doors. Well I have a reasonable solution... anyone who wishes to have their content removed please do so now in the next few weeks. This way all the people who are outraged by our decision cannot say that we did not offer any solutions or give any ground. Mallory and I have always been reasonable and fair and so here's our way of saying... we will miss your contribution  but its not about the contribution alone its about the core values of this site and that make this a cozy and cheerful BB and CB Social Network. 

Essentially it boils down to this 

1. Let KITG fail completely and no body get ANYTHING!!!

2. Let KITG try this subscription model out and try to find an affordable solution in the future.

Let me just go ahead and say I don't want any of my content removed membership paid or not. You've done a wonderful thing for the BB community dvhour, respect! I hope KITG continues on for many years

I use this site regularly. Where's all the bad vibes and hostility you mentioned? I'm not hating at all, please don't get me wrong, just wondering. Thanks
