NEW KITG VIDEO UPLOAD SPACE

The problem with Youtube, Ning and other video sharing solutions are that they either delete BB or CB videos, they cost a fortune or they impair us from establishing our own BB or CB identity. Many of you are sick of Youtube videos being removed or being blocked... HELL.. I know I am... so after a full year of trying to figure out the finances, technical issues and delivery options... I finally came up with a solution. I purchased server space and a new Domain with the reserve money from our Donations.

 

From now on anyone who wishes to share BB or CB videos, will now be able to upload or get an admin to upload it for you to our personal KITG server. From there we will link the video to this site and if you upload it here it will be exclusive ONLY on this website. Look nothing on the internet is fool-proof and there are techies and determined people (like myself) who can download just about any type of file off the internet without much trouble but try not to worry this is as close to secure as you are going to get when serving BB or CB video on the internet.

 

For those of you who don't know what the fuss is about... well let me start by saying that I have labored over this for many hours, days and months and was supremely frustrated. Our website is powered by NING and last year around this time NING was a free service and we were able to freely upload videos here anytime we wanted. But as of last summer we had to pay $200 a year to keep the site going and if we want the video capability (with bandwidth limitations) we will have to fork over another $300  a year bringing our yearly total to $500. The video server solution that I worked out is about $110 but at least we have no bandwidth limitations and its ours. At any rate I would like to hear what you guys have to say.  

 

I am still working out some specific instructions for posting but for now if you wish to upload your videos you can message me and I will inbox you the details.

Awesome News and a Great Job! Hopefully I can convince the wife to shoot a couple of clips now as it should be more discreet than youtube and she had some concerns about us getting recognized and whatnot. If someone recognizes on here, well then they should be down with the whole deal themselves and it'd give us all something to talk about and have a laugh. The frustration of youtube clips being removed is one of my biggest pet peeves and if that's not enough to irk you, the ones that stay up get flooded with negative comments from morons who can simply choose not to watch or refrain from saying anything if they don't enjoy what they see. You seem to have gotten a whole flock of birds stoned at once with this move and it's great news for the site. Much applause, kudos, gratitude and congratulations! Thank you very much for all your hard work dvhour! You run a tight ship around here and do a wonderful wonderful job. Keep up the Great Work and Thank You for making a Bold Move that should make this place even more active and enjoyable to be a part of.

I'm hearing a rumor going around that Katkatbbsaverz videos are literally and exclusively being targeted to be flagged. Not sure of any user names, but I've been emailed the possibilities and it ain't looking too good.

 

So here's to this AMAZING news. Now I can put videos here and if those assholes wanna flag them, good luck!! Would love to see the look on their faces when they find out they can't touch us here. Dvhour is THE MAN!! You really know how to make this place feel like home.

glad you guys appreciate the update it is indeed a big step towards independence for this site. I understand why Youtube and Vemeo delete the videos but lets hope that we will be the gold standard location for all things BB and CB.

Yes WU the excess funds were used to help power this service.. we will do the donation telethon again soon. Do not upload anything yet, this is not simple like uploading to Youtube and Mallory and i have to discuss a better way to organize this system because i can see it will be a big mess if we don't manage it properly… there's a little bit of a learning curve, we just need to workout a few tiny logistics and we will need all our producers to follow it to make this much smoother and easier for all of us. and yes Joe i'm so fed up with Youtube's blatant hatred of our fetish .. evil grins :)

I find those who seem to object to BB videos are the insecure morons who think that somehow a woman finding it enjoyable to kick someone in the groin is a direct challenge to their masculine ways. It's a shame they don't realise just how stupid they are and do us all a favour and go play in the traffic. Anyway I have thrown 10 shiney dollars in your direction this year to contribute towards the running costs. Long may this site reign.
