Can you describe what happened when you busted him nearly full force?  You said you assume for him it was awful LOL but how did he react?  Like, could he handle it for a little while or was he totally overwhelmed right away?  I'm assuming he still liked it though, either way, even if he was in pain.  We guys are like that.   :)
