The "Whistle Game"

So I have told a few people around here and they told me they have never heard of it....

In Israel there is (or at least was) a really common game that has been going on for years' as I have seen friends of my father do it to a guy in their friend group' and also saw it during babysitting so its a few generations long.

Anyway in here there is a stupid game that is MOSTLY a guy game.

Where a guy grabs another guy by the squishy buttons and squeezes while telling the poor soul to whistle...

If he whistles they let go.. If not they keep squeezing... and from what it looked like it is pretty hard to whistle in that scenario.

Guys usually just smiled or giggled or cried in pain.

As I said it is mostly a guys game but often you used to see a girl do it

I have met a guy who told us his middle school girlfriend is the reason he learned how to whistle...

Although it doesn't have to be just a "whistle" but it's usually what it is

some times a guy would ask for 3 cities from around the world or to answer question fast

or a girl would ask the guy the say something demeaning or bark like a dog that sort of thing

In here it is so common almost everyone heard of it and I am talking about different areas of the country so it is not just common to one school or one area...

We had a girl from a different school that every guy heard of that actually earned the title "The Lobster" that way ..

I just have to know is it common around the world or is it just and Israeli thing?

FYI - I always felt like squeezing a guy is too personal so I haven't played along until my current partner

I forgot this move - it's a genius invention, so devilish and funny to watch!

When your balls are even lightly squeezed, the fear (and sometime the pain) makes your whole body and all your muscle tightly tensed, including your facial muscles... which makes it incredibly hard to whistle, because your checks need to be completely relaxed in order to be able to whistle! What is especially funny is seeing the poor guy desperately trying to relax and whistle, often letting a pitiful bit of air out of their mouth, under threat of a tighter sqeeze if they don't whistle quick :)

My wife has done this before and I never knew where it came from.

She had some of her friends from out of the country staying over for a couple weeks and one day we were in the kitchen and I was fooling around giving her a hard time about something, when all the sudden she reached down and grabbed a handful of my manhood! 

Her friends laughed and she told me to whistle a song for them. As I tried to get her hand off me she really squeezed down hard so I had no choice but to do what she said. It really is hard to whistle when your entire body wants to fold in half lol. It took me two or three tries which of course all the women found absolutely hilarious.

It was mostly a guy thing as I wrote...

But I have seen girls do it and usually when a girl do it its "meaner"

exactly! the "shoreket" which translates to a girl whistling 

actually seen it happen today but not nearly as bad as it used to be

Ah yes the good old "shoreket".

I always wondered where that came from to israel,

it actually seeped into pop culture at some point.

And no, you can't really whistle in this situation, unless they choose to let you ;)

I mean I guess it is possible that is mostly common around here for some reason...

but it was so common it made the news and popular media

as it was MAINLY a guy vs guy type of game no one really picked on as you can just retaliate later...

It was more common than ball taps that are also very common here... to this day and I am working at a respectable office 

but yeah if you had a girlfriend or just a girl friend that felt you two are close enough to play that game you would have had a really bad time!

Never heard of it. People that don't really know how to whistle, like myself, would probably get picked on more.
