Kathy Long is legendary as a kickboxer and self defense instructor. I feel like half the volunteers seem like they dont always wear cups though they always react as if they dont. She mentioned in her book that grabs are basically her bread & butter and she prefers using her fingers to grab a mans groin than using her feet to kick because she has more control with her hands. She's no joke.

Smoo, that is funny. I wonder what her response was to the video? Some of the hits in it look liked they hurt even with a cup on.

dph, she's actually seen that video.  One of the other instructors mentioned it to her.

There is a funny video of all the low blows she delivered during one of her seminars. The video is set to the original Super Mario music and they use the coin collection sound effect after each groin shot.

Hah, Kathy Long!  I've had the chance to practice and train with her last year for a lesson and couple seminars and yes, she and her style are known for low shots.  And she doesn't shy away from contact either!
