From Rough Body to Sensory Play... No Toys Involved

TWO-DAY EVENT [Mini-Conference]: possibly titled, "Kinky Parts Fest" or "No Toys Fest" or "Palms and Soles Fest", something along those lines where there are networking munches, workshops and parties for two days. The overall concept of this event is to explore kinks via rough body play and sensual play... no toys, rope or other fetish gear involved!!!! Ballbusting will be the cornerstone of this event and it will be safe, discrete and comfy for all in attendance. Most of all yours truly and KatKat will be the featured guests at this event featured on Fetlife.

HERE'S THE DEAL...

Ballbusting, has a very bad rep and needs more responsible, knowledgable and lively presenters to make the kink more accessible, accountable, approachable, safer and less creepy. Many of you are nervous or unsure about coming out to public kink events because you do not ever see our kink presented in a responsible or appealing way and frankly lets be honest most kink events are intimidating.

I personally feel that we need a safe space that caters and expands to other hum body kinks like wrestling, foot fetish  and other rough or sensual body play that doesn’t use toys, rope or other fetish gear. Rather than complain, I'm being proactive by doing something about it.

Friday, September 18th 

• 6pm-8pm -PRIVATE MUNCH 
• 8pm-9pm - KEYNOTE
• 9pm-10pm - WORKSHOP/DEMO
• 10pm-12am - PRIVATE PARTY

Saturday, September 19th

• 11am-1pm - PRIVATE MUNCH
• 1pm-3pm - SILKY, SENSUAL & SALACIOUS SOLES
• 3pm-4:30pm - ROUGH BODY PLAY
• 4:30pm-6pm - WORKSHOP/DEMO
• 6pm-8pm - THE ART OF TAMAKERI - Featuring Katkat & Dvhour
• 10pm-2am - OPEN PARTY

An event like this is over 9 months away. It's also the very last weekend of the Toronto International Film Festival so lots of peeps from all over the world will be there but also many folks would have left town by that time frame as well, its an ideal time to host something like this in a world city. Let me know your thoughts and wisdom on this.

I have planning experience but nothing kink/fetish related. Here are a few things that popped into my head:

-Make sure all attendees have information on how to contact local emergency personnel. It's one of the first things I look at.

-There may be very new (and shy) people attending. Have someone designated to help introduce them to the scene. "Look for the person wearing the..."

-There needs to be an official policy regarding photography. It would be great to document the event and help build public awareness but a lot of us are not public with our kink lives.

-During "open time" women attending the event will find themselves the center of attention. Well all know this. :( An idea is to look for local Pro-Dommes who could be guest speakers at the event. Besides the obvious benefit of hearing their perspective, they have a chance to offer sessions while taking some of the pressure off the other women in attendance.

Actually this idea started less than 3 days ago and I drafted this mock schedule this morning. Honestly this is a big undertaking but I kinda do this kind of event planning for my professional non kink livelihood. I have the confidence to put it on but not the experience. I also have many roots in the kink communities and connections to folks who know how to get me support. All in all I got KatKat involved and thats a huge win... yay.

Yeah securing katkat was wonderful, I came up with the idea a few days ago and thought hmmm I can't bring my kink partner to Toronto but who do I know in Toronto who would be a great demo partner... EUREEKA... KATKAT haha. Anyway she was super gracious about wanting to be part of it so I'm elated. 

With regard to the other workshops.... here's what I know. If I want the BB community from around the world to come to such an event, I can't just have one single workshop and call it a day... I have been to enough kink events to know you need at least a mixer with no kink stuff going on and a party where it all hangs out mixed in with other activities and if you can make a second day of that ... then the members of this site and beyond would be open to it especially since many of us are into foot fetish and wrestling and other forms of body to body contact play. SO YES!!! The other stuff is necessary in order to properly sell the Katkat vs Dvhour Trojan Horse haha..

Believe me Bill there is 9 months to build and promote such an event like this so you can best believe that I will ask any and every member on this site to be part of it. Naturally only a fraction of folks would be able to make it to Toronto but if folks have the funds, the comfort and ability to travel reasonably then they will make it. I'm also thinking about waving the fee to all BB gals who go to the event but we shall see. 

I do all this for the community I have ZERO expectation to make a single dollar from this after all overhead costs and paying the instructors is handled. BB and this community building is all free on my end so it is my hope that people step up to take advantage of this offering, because I definitely will not be on planet earth forever hee hee.

Dvhour, also it would be a great idea to ask some of the ladies here in martial arts who do private BB sessions to see if they'd like to come to the event.  Lots of targets there for them to kick!
