Whats wrong with the site?

Each year I NEED to get the attention of our membership to let them know the site needs their help. It costs money to run this site and the as the sole admin/creator of this site who moderates and manages the site 365 days a year out of sheer duty for our community, I do not think I also need to be stuck with the annual costs.

For 14 years everyone has enjoyed: a Free Site — AD FREE — SUBSCRIPTION FREE —

Under complete anonymity — and in a safe and judgment free environment.

There are 5,399 members on this site and if each member gave $1 we would not have to ask for your annual $1 donation for another 5 years. On average 70 to 90 members each year donate something and it is these members who help carry us into the next year. Without their support the site would not exist.

I have disabled some features on the site for the next few weeks to get everyone's attention. People complain and ask why I would partially shut down for a few weeks out of the year, but imagine a complete site shut down, due to a lack of funding. I'm merely trying to remind folks that this manageable free service that I provide the community is not guaranteed. Even I put my own $25 into the pot towards the donation period — I'm not being unreasonable when i ask for your donation, because this is for all of us. Look maybe you don't have that much but everyone should have at least $3 to $5 to contribute. Hey look, this site has value and even at $20 donation for the entire year that's only .07¢ a day and I know for a fact this site means more to each of you than that so do your part and help rally the troops.

I have provided payment links via PayPal or Square, both links will take the dollar amount of your choosing. There is no set dollar amount! GIVE WHAT YOU CAN, every single dollar matters.

And another thought. Dvhour, you seriously need more admins. It's a risky business, but I'm sure there are some trustworty BB fans here who could moderate and help out, if approached in a decent way. Especially among the women.

Here's a suggestion for future donation rounds: How about getting a small medal in ones profile for donating? Other sites I'm a member of have done this and it has increased the donated amount.

Members could PM admin when they've donated to get the medals and it could bring status by showing genuine appreciation and support for KITG. In other words to show that you're seriously into BB.

The medal could even read 2024 if that's the period one has donated for.

I just tried donating again using paypal, like I did the first time. I even clear out my history, it looks like the card provider is declining to pay the fee. I checked the balance, the card has money on it.

ATTENTION EVERYONE UPDATE OCT 24TH

Ok so I did some digging, I set up the square account in Canada because its where live. It will accept credit card payments from all over the world but IT WILL NOT take prepaid gift cards from outside of Canada apparently. Square will not allow me to change over to USA so if you are planning to pay using square you will need to use your credit card I guess, though it confuses me why that is an issue.

Look Paypal works its takes payments from all over the world and there has never been an issue. If you use a prepay card there is no reason why Paypal will confirm your home address so just do what you need to do to make the payment, these are semantics and time is running out we have a week left to do the donation period the site needs your help.

Hey it seems that pre-paid cards that are not from Canada are not working I'll create a new one for USD to make it feasible for yawl. In the meantime Paypal works perfectly fine its what we have used for years it hasn't changed. Just use the Paypal link for now till I sort this out. Regardless Paypal works, so just do that please.

Because Square is so much easier and is much more anonymous. I've used Square in the past on other sites, it was so easy. I tried here so many times (five), the gift card is now locked from this particular site, I'm going to have to purchase a new one.
