Who's interested in a KITG New York City BB & CB Gathering in the 3rd week of September?

As most of you know I am the creator of this site - my vision for this site was to have a civilized, respectful user friendly environment for all BB and CB enthusiasts. Some of us are hardcore into the fetish scene some of us are mildly observers and others are newbies who know nothing… There are many BB community sites and a smattering of CB sites but we like to see ourselves as unifiers… the PG-Rated approachable site for all Groin Busters & Bustees…

Anyway I'm writing because I happen to be en-route in the USA from Canada… and I had a brilliant idea…. Why not host a casual gathering for all the BB & CB enthusiasts in New York City!!!

I'm originally from the NYC Area so it feels only right to set such a thing up. I really did not have this idea in my head until this very moment… People have been asking me for months now about hosting a KITG party but up till now I didn't feel right about that but today while I'm observing and getting the feel of the NYC area again, it feels so right… so I'm thinking since I'll be here again from September 15th to September 24th I figured its plenty of time to gather interest and see where people are at.

Here's the thing… I want this to be a completely vanilla event… meaning its not about people getting together for kicks and giggles (pun intended) because we will be in a public setting… Although this can definitely be debated depending on the level of interest… Granted you are all adults and if you discover a chemistry its up to you to do what you wish in your own private time… But seeing how most people on this site are more into building on a human level, I feel it would be best to just have this KITG open social event simple and no hassle… people wearing normal clothing… normal conversations and a normal NYC venue like at a comfortable lounge spot or a rental space of some kind like that…. I'm literally just brain storming this as I type so over the next 2 weeks, I'll try to hash out the details.

Ok if anyone has any questions or tips or comments for this idea… the floor is open.

Sounds like an interesting idea.  Here's a bit of a twist too.  Not all of us are so close to NYC that it can just be a days visit.  Would be nice if people wanted to hang out in the city more then one day but that's gonna require staying somewhere which can be a fair bit pricey.  It could (could it?) work is people wanted to go in on rooms together.  I also see the flip-side: as many of us are strangers in person it might be awkward.  Any thoughts about this and how to handle it?

Not 100% sure I can even make it, but I'm certainly not opposed to the idea.  Now if it were Boston  :-P

I really like the idea of a kitg mixer but I would like it to be in more than one location. Of course organizing such an event is far more difficult. Would it be possible for you to create a separate discussion page, have NY, Paris, Toronto etc as the topic and then let people discuss meeting in those particular locations? Just an idea.

this would certainly be a great opportunity for this social network to build up on the social level. it'd definitely be nice to meet up with those you know, and even meet some whom you don't. like seth, i don't know if i would be able to go, but i think it's an awesome idea!

I agree with everyone that thinks such events should be all around the globe where there is interest rather than just in NYC.

Love the idea of a vanilla event, normal clothes, public place. But something easy and grassroots like that could take place in many cities.

 

I'd suggest people can nominate their own event anywhere, then when a certain minimum number of people "vote" for it (say 15-20?) someone gets appointed/ self-appointed to organize and the event goes ahead in that location?

Great idea.  I would entertain attending.  Also, what if we follow your example and hold more of these type of events, around the country.  For all the Florida folks, what about having one in Tampa?

i'm in NYC and this sounds like a cool idea. i'm a little skeptical as, having been to a couple fetish events, they're sometimes like a predatory bar scene. where are you thinking of doing it?

Well I can't do this year, but if it became an annual thing then I would definitely save up/plan for next year.

Damn, I'm from NJ just outside of NYC but I'm in college in central PA. I want to join in this event so badly to meet up with people down for a casual group ballbusting-interested hangout. Seems like it could be really fun. Message me if you're willing to meet up in central PA.
