Ubuntu Art software

Are there any fairly decent programs for sketching on Ubuntu? I've got a good hand at sketching, and used to use MS Paint, and actually turn out some decent stuff. (look me up on deviant art) Now im looking for some similar programs on ubuntu, so I can contribute a bit more here until my camera gets fixed:)

gimp is a free software with a lot of functionality similar to photoshop.

Ive got gimp- but its hell with a stylus- i use it more for photos

photoshop+illustrator are the best for this...i'm sure there's a freeware version out there, esp. if you go to some school, the tech department usually has CDs you can install.
